Villajoyosa is a city with strong influence from its arabic and roman history. The name can be translated to: "The jewel city"probably because it separates from the other spanish coastal cities by the multicoloured painted houses in all colours of the rainbow.
Our apartment is located on the beach just below old,
roman castle walls. Behind this you find the modern part of town with its
tiled streets and avenues with orange trees.
